3rd Annual Winter Wonderland at USC Hybrid High College Prep

The 3rd Annual Winter Wonderland event brought lots of joy to over 160 USC Hybrid High students and their families. 125 children received toys generously donated by USC’s Price School of Public Policy faculty and staff. Hybrid students organized every detail of the event supported by 61 student volunteers who took on various responsibilities including a four-hour Sunday afternoon cookie-baking session, a two-hour after school wrapping party, and the big event itself on Thursday, December 14.

The students engaged their leadership and teamwork skills along with communication, organization, and hospitality to provide families, faculty, and staff with holiday-themed activities including a photo booth, meet and greet with Santa, ornament decorating, and other holiday crafts! As an extra bonus, The Book Truck, a teen literacy nonprofit, participated in the festivities giving every USC Hybrid High student the opportunity to choose 2 new books to take home from a vast assortment of genres specifically geared to teens.
